South on the Freeway Path - Pt 4

Keep your eye open for when you cross over the railway line. The cycle path uses the same bridge as the freeway to cross the railway line. Shortly after this bridge, there is a path on the right with a sign designating a water stop.

That is the last water stop that I know of. The path is easy to follow until the end of the freeway, where there is a petrol station at the roundabout. From there you can ride to Rockingham or head south to Mandurah. These roads are busy, and may put some people off of riding them. If you are heading further south, there is an alternative, but slightly longer route on quiet roads that will get you to Pinjarra and then onto Bunbury.

Shortly before the end of the path, you will ride under a large sign. You will need to look backwards to read the sign, which is shown below. Looking across the freeway, you will see an opening in the centre island which allows traffic to turn into Folly Road. Taking this road, it is possible to get to Pinjarra on quiet back roads.

Folly Road, that's a nice quiet route. There is an opening in the centre island.

That's the end of the path for now. Please be aware that some of this information may be wrong due to changes in the path. There is currently major works going on along the freeway with the laying of the Perth to Mandurah rail line and the extension of the freeway to Bunbury.
