Albany to Denmark
You can ride from Albany to Denmark via two roads. There is the main road (red line), which is the most direct route, or the lower Denmark Road (blue line) which goes via Torbay and Youngs Siding. There is also some scenic side trips on the lower Denmark road.
While the lower road is slightly longer, there is a shop at Youngs Siding and the scenic side trips. There is also the possibility of camping at Cosy Corner.
In the above map, the blue marker shows Cosy Corner which is a long beach. Camping is allowed there with permission from the Ranger in Albany. There are also several spots along behind the sand dunes as well.
Further down this track is the southern most point of Western Australia.
The upper road is the main highway and can have some heavy traffic in peak tourist season. It is also fairly open in some places and the cross winds can be quite hazardous on a loaded touring bike.
The lower road is narrower, but has less traffic and at certain times of the year you can pick up some good produce that is sold at the side of the road. So if you have a craving for pumpkin, make sure it's the right season.
The lower road rejoins the main road shortly before Denmark, and there are a couple of long climbs before Denmark. Once you reach Denmark, you will cross the bridge. If you turn left immeiately after the bridge, you will find the park with toilet facilities and the pub.
